Description

Kayangan Lake is a brackish inland lake on Coron Island, known for its clear water, surrounding limestone formations, and scenic viewpoint overlooking the coastal waters of Coron Island. It is located within Banuang Daan, one of the two barangays covering Coron Island. The island is part of the ancestral domain of the Calamian Tagbanwa, whose customary management and cultural traditions remain important to the area. Coron Island Natural Biotic Area is also included in the Philippines’ UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List, although it is not currently a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
