Malcapuya Island

Malcapuya Island is a beach destination within the Municipality of Coron, Palawan, administratively associated with Barangay Bulalacao. The Coron Municipal Government and the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD) identify Malcapuya among the islands under Bulalacao’s jurisdiction. The island is characterized by a long sandy shoreline and surrounding coastal waters with coral and other marine habitats. Malcapuya is commonly visited as part of Coron island-hopping itineraries, including trips that combine it with other islands in the southern Coron area. The surrounding marine environment is also subject to local conservation efforts, including the Bulalacao marine protected area.
