Description
Calauit Safari Sanctuary, officially referred to as Calauit Safari Park, is a wildlife and conservation destination on Calauit Island in the municipality of Busuanga, northern Palawan. The area was originally declared the Calauit Game Preserve and Wildlife Sanctuary through Presidential Proclamation No. 1578 in 1976, covering approximately 3,400 hectares. It is known for its population of African wildlife, including giraffes and zebras, alongside native Palawan wildlife. In 2008, Executive Order No. 772 transferred management to the Provincial Government of Palawan and established the name Calauit Safari Park
